Single sign-on coming soon to SAP SuccessFactors Customer Community

In the coming months, we will transition the Customer Community’s log in to Single Sign-On. Rather than a user name and password, Community members will use their SAP-User IDs (S-users).

Purpose Easier navigation! You will experience seamless navigation between the SF Community, the SAP Community, the Support Portal, SuccessFactors Administrator Learning Center, the Product Roadmap idea submission tool, and VIP webinars.

Call to Action You, as admins, are your company's central point of contact for assigning SAP-User IDs (S-Users), so please prepare to:

• Communicate this change to other Community users at your organization. They can find information on this change as it becomes available here.
• Field requests from your colleagues for assigning SAP-User IDs (S-users) without additional privileges. To learn more about assigning users, visit here and here.

EMEA Admins, are you attending SuccessConnect in Vienna?  We are making this year's SuccessConnect friendlier than ever for administrators because we want you there! SuccessFactors representatives will host a Customer Empowerment Center onsite to demonstrate various empowerment resources.  Plus, we will offer two breakout sessions specific to administrators:

SuccessFactors Admin Learning Center and Learning Rooms – Product Training with an edge!

We recently transitioned product training to the SuccessFactors Admin Learning Center (SFALC) platform. SFALC delivers more than standard training content. It also offers six product-specific Learning Rooms for informal learning, connection with instructors, and monthly live virtual training sessions. These are an awesome resource, and – as with all SFALC content – completely included in your SuccessFactors contract, so there’s no reason NOT to try them out.

• Peer Match – Our self-service customer to customer connection tool is gaining momentum!  Participate as an Advisor or search for a fellow customer to connect with -- we have been actively recruiting customers to share their expertise as Peer Match Advisors and have a great pool available. • Quick Answer Boards – Use these forums on each Product page to post simple “how to” questions rather than logging a support ticket.  Monitored by customer support and our SuccessFactors product managers, you will typically receive a response within a 24-hour period.

We are making changes to the Admin Compass! Expect to see a new layout and content style in 2017. For the remainder of this year the look and feel will stay the same and we will deliver monthly.

UPDATE: Standalone LMS Environments
Earlier this year, we announced that we will no longer support standalone Learning – Learning environments not used in conjunction with the SuccessFactors platform – after the Q3 2017 release. We are extending this deadline one year, until the Q3 2018 release, to give customers more time to transition their LMS to an integrated environment with the SuccessFactors platform.

Single sign on (SSO) into the LMS will also require the SuccessFactors platform as of the Q3 2018 release. However, we will still allow native login into the LMS for customers with certain user populations that, today, log directly into the LMS with a LMS username and password.

An integrated environment offers Theming, Action Search, Mobile, and other features not available in a standalone Learning environment. Also, some future functionality and issue resolutions may depend on the Successfactors platform. We encourage you to start planning now for this transition!

Legacy Plateau Features
With the Q4 2016 release, we will begin removing unsupported legacy features and modules from the SuccessFactors Learning product. This includes major features, such as competency assessments, performance reviews, goals, talent pools, and individual development plans. Competency records will remain in the system as competencies are still supported in Learning. The database tables for the user history for these features will not be removed from the Oracle database. You must import any system performance reports as custom reports in order to maintain access to those reports.

Flash Org Chart in Position Management
As of the Q2 2017 release, Flash Org chart will no longer be available in Position Management. Its replacement, v12, has been available since 2014. The main difference between versions is look and feel and HTML versus Flash. We encourage customers still using Flash to enable the v12 version now to become comfortable with it.

Current SuccessFactors Requirements
Support for Internet Explorer 9 and 10 was dropped with SAP SuccessFactors Q2 2016 release because Microsoft ended support for these browsers on January 12, 2016. Read more in the SuccessFactors System Requirements document.
 

IMPORTANT: Mobile Learning Bulletin Apple plans to enforce a security feature in iOS starting January 1, 2017 which will impact any customer using offline Learning in iOS 9 or below. Please take the actions described here before January 1 2017 to ensure access.
