Are there any templates available for PeopleSoft Data Archival? 14 years 1 month ago #4879

Hello,
We are looking at archiving data. We are already at 250gb and have been running from 1995. We never did any archiving yet.

Want to find out if there is any easy way or any template(s) available.

Please advise. We are currently upgrading to PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2sp1 with PeopleTools 8.53

Thanks

CP,

The best tool I know of for data archiving in PeopleSoft is Optim, a Princeton Softech product, which was acquired by IBM a few years back.

Data Archiving has been big issue for many companies. It is typically company policy, system resources (most of the cases) that decide it.

PeopleSoft also provides very good archival mechanism. They provide us some data archival examples (they can be used in real-time). You can add on to that list.

Good thing with that is PeopleSoft, it lets you query archived tables.

It is always good practice to archive.

You can reach out to us for more inputs.

Thanks
