As part of the First Half 2021 release a new Employee Self-Service (ESS) Time Sheet User Interface (UI) for attendance recording is available and will replace the current UI. This new and innovative UI is part of UX Reimagined and supports accessibility standards and can be used on both desktop and mobile devices. Within the First Half 2021 Release we enhanced validations on the business keys for work permit records within the employee profile. As part of this change the work permit validation was enabled by default as an Admin Opt-Out feature. To help ensure data integrity of employee information within the First Half 2022 Release, we are removing the option to disable the “Validations on the Work Permit Editing”. As part of a multi-release effort, we will begin implementing changes in the MDF to-do category assignment process within the Second Half 2021 Release. For MDF-based workflow approvals, the latest home page will require a solid relationship between the to-do category currently assigned in the “Configure Object Definitions” screen and the MDF object definition. As part of the 2H 2021 Release a Check Tool item will be created to show unassigned MDF object definitions. We are excited to announce the successful rollout of Learning data for Stories in People Analytics. The ability to report on Learning specific data in Stories has been provided to all customer Data Centers (Preview and Production). As a reminder, Stories in People Analytics is available at no additional cost, requires only a few steps to implement and combines reporting, insights, and dashboards into a truly dynamic environment. As part of SAP’s commitment to continued investment and enhancement of our Cloud services, SAP SuccessFactors is rolling out several network changes affecting API endpoints across all our datacenters. As a result, SAP SuccessFactors no longer guarantees that our datacenters will maintain a static IP address. Learning Native Login Authentication Migration to SAP Cloud Identity Services Begins Second Half 2021 |
|
The general availability of SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication for Learning (both basic user authentication and via Sites) is planned for the Second Half 2021 release. A new Resources section has been added to the Community to assist you in preparing for this change. The best path to getting started is by completing your SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication setup before the Second Half 2021 release. Learn more. |

Within the Second Half 2021 Release, Legacy Admin Alerts will be deprecated as part of a universal transition to Admin Alerts 2.0. Admin Alerts 2.0 allows administrators to easily manage data integrity and surface certain processes. In 1H 2021, the Check Tool is available for Admin Alerts 2.0 Permissions that will help customer determine what permissions need to be set that were used for the Legacy Admin Alerts. Learning Plateau Question Editor Deprecation Within the Second Half 2021 Release & User Exam Launch Within the First Half 2022 Release |
|
Learning Plateau Question Editor (PQE) customers are successfully making the transition to Assessments in preparation for the deprecation of the legacy PQE solution. The date for user exam launch has been slightly adjusted to allow customers to complete the migration to Assessments without impacting user assignments. Employee Central Payroll Pay Statement (Fiori-like) Integration Deprecation Within Second Half 2022 |
|
Transition to Pay Statement (Direct) integration is now available. Customers should be using this direct integration instead of using Employee Central Payroll with the Pay Statement (Fiori-like) integration. That is planned to be deleted in Second Half 2022 release. All Pay Statement (Fiori-like) options are affected by the deprecation. Learn more. |

Change to the Purge Audit Data and Attachment Replacement Policy in Test and Development Instances |
|
As of 2H 2021 Release, auto data purge policies (Audit data purge, and Attachment replacement) will be changed to an Opt-In feature in Test/Dev instances. For customers who made changes because of the previous policies, the setting will be unchanged. This will change to the policy will not affect the Preview instances. Preview instances will remain Opt-Out as previously communicated. The first Audit Data Purge and Attachment Replacement will run on the weekend of November 19, 2021. Learn more. |
