Starting June 1, 2023: Faster CAR Processing-Customer Approvals from Admin Center Required Over the last year SAP has made several improvements to the process for providing SAP and Partner consultants backend access to Customers’ tenants, including automating the process when customer approval emails are generated from the Admin Center. Effective June 1, 2023, customers must generate the approval from the Admin Center and send to the certified consultant who will be configuring your SAP SuccessFactors product. Impact of third party cookies deprecation on SAP SuccessFactors |
Google has announced their intention of phasing out the third-party cookies support in their Chrome browsers in the second half of 2024 (blog post here). The reason for the change is due to the concerns regarding privacy implications related to user data tracking. The SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite utilizes third-party cookies for single sign-on (SSO) authentication. This can be achieved through migrating to SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) when integrating with other internal products. Also, UI embedding within iFrames uses third-party cookies. Due to the deprecation of third-party cookies, there could be impact on the single sign-on and iFrame embedding functionalities. With the third-party cookies change in second half of 2024 the migration to SAP Cloud Identity Authentication (IAS/IPS) becomes more important to SuccessFactors HXM Suite user. You can also read about the impact to the IAS/IPS for SuccessFactors customers Blog Link. Starting in August we will be holding IAS Open Office Hours to address any questions our customers have on this topic. You can register for the Open Office hours through the block link listed above. SAP SuccessFactors will be migrating all customer logins to SAP Cloud Identity Authentication (IAS and IPS) to provide a more robust and secure login experience. IAS and IPS are bundled with SAP SuccessFactors HXM suite and will not require additional charges. |

In November 2019, we launched a new version of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding (aka Onboarding 2.0) built on the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Platform frameworks within SAP SuccessFactors. This single platform approach offers our customers many benefits, both in efficiency and experience. SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding leverages the HXM suite. The newest version of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, focuses on integrating people, process, and technology to create modern engaging and efficient onboarding journeys that nurture talent and drive long-term success. SAP has determined we will begin the initial steps to sunset the SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 solution starting in the 2H 2025 release. At that time, the application will enter the End of Maintenance lifecycle phase. This also means 2026 compliance updates will not be made to the product through our typical patch process. However, the system will still be available for use. The deprecation of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 planned for the 1H 2026 release. For more information, please review our Customer Community blog. We are encouraging our SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 customers to begin actively planning for their move to the new solution. |

In an effort to continuously improve our solutions, we are transitioning to the latest visual design, SAP Fiori with Horizon. This change will support an enhanced and consistent experience across the suite. Horizon theming is a purely visual change, with no impact on functionality or data. As of the First Half 2023, Horizon theming was automatically applied to all instances and as of Second Half 2023 release it will be universally applied. We have released patches in June and July that fixed many of the known key issues hindering customer adoption. If your organization has opted-out Horizon theming, please consider testing and enabling now. You can learn more about this change on our SAP Community blog. |
