Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer the Director of Talent Systems, Operations & Payroll is part of the Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management leadership team. This position is responsible for providing innovation, leadership, overall management and administration of the university's human resource information system (HRIS) and human resources/payroll functions. This position also works with the CHRO to support strategic planning and decision-making as it relates to this unit and is responsible for UMBC compliance matters relating to policies and procedures around leave, payroll and employee data (i.e. Dual employment, FICA tax, NRA/RA tax compliance).
