| Cloud Foundry Summit Boston Retrospective |

| As a leading community member of the Cloud Foundry open source technology, SAP was a Gold sponsor of the Cloud Foundry Summit held in Boston (Apr 18 – 20, 2018). Colleagues from several SAP organizations (Strategy & Product Management, Product, Marketing, Partner, Developer Relations, etc) collaborated to deliver a successful event. Speakers from SAP gave several talks at the conference along with short interviews on the topics of the role of Cloud Foundry in SAP Cloud Platform, SAP's open source contributions to Cloud Foundry (that are listed here) and the newly launched MultiApp open source project by SAP. |

| Although aimed at Cloud Foundry technology, this event included several talks about containerization and Kubernetes. Attendees expressed great interest and expectation that cloud platforms should support both Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes technologies in an integrated fashion. So, it was a nice validation of SAP Cloud Platform's multi-* strategy to support -- multiple languages (Java, Node.js, Go, Python, etc), multiple services (60+ existing and growing), multiple hypercloud options (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and also multiple environments (Neo, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes and ABAP). In addition, there was a lot of positive feedback for SAP's open source initiatives to simplify creation and management of Kubernetes clusters (Project Gardener) and integration of the Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry environments. |

| SAP Translation Hub @SAP Store |

On April 20, 2018, SAP Translation Hub was launched and immediately available on the SAP Store. In close collaboration with SAP Digital experts, the SAP Translation Hub product team leveraged a fully automated workflow. Customers who are interested in learning about SAP Translation Hub can now visit the SAP Store, and seamlessly purchase their one-year to five-year subscription in a few clicks with a credit card payment or via invoice. Post-purchase, the customers will automatically receive e-mails confirming their order and relevant information to access their subscription.
The integration of SAP Translation Hub into the SAP Store sales model does not come as a surprise. As described in the recent news article "From SAP Digital to Digital SAP," the company offers both low-touch and no-touch selling options on SAPStore.com: |
