Take Action to Continue Participating in SAP Community

We want to make sure that you're aware of upcoming changes on SAP Community that will enhance our data privacy and security systems. In addition, you'll need to know about what actions to take to ensure you will not miss out on continued engagement and participation in the community. As data protection and privacy is a top priority for us at SAP, it's important for you to understand what's coming – and soon – as in May 25.

ABAP Code Reviews with abapgit

People think there isn't a code review tool for ABAP. Eduardo Copat says that it turns out you can do that with abapGit. abapGit is an open-source git client for ABAP. It serializes source code and data dictionary elements to plain text, so that they can be persisted in a git repository. With this serialized code you can leverage Git services, such as GitHub or GitLab, to create Pull Requests.

SAP Community Missions Are Back!

As the gamification and reputation lead for the SAP Community, Caroleigh Deneen is excited to announce that our new mission set is now live! If you've been with us since the launch of the new community platform in 2016, then you know our mission set was designed and ready to coincide with the switch from SCN, but we needed to put it in "timeout." That timeout is over and you can start completing missions today!

XML Schema 1.1 – Assertions in Cloud Integration

The official road map is a great way to stay up to date with what's coming to SAP Cloud Platform Integration. While perusing the current road map document, Morten Wittrock noticed a new capability planned for Q3 of 2018: XML Schema 1.1 support. XML Schema version 1.1 isn't exactly brand new (it became a W3C Recommendation in 2012), but it does introduce some interesting features. In this blog, I'll cover what I consider the most interesting one of the lot: Assertions.

SAP Translation Hub – ABAP Integration How-to

In this blog post, Uladzimir Sapazhkou describes a simple and straightforward way of integrating ABAP development of multilingual applications into SAP Translation Hub. It both speeds up and streams out line development processes and makes it possible to get an application that speaks a business user's language.
