Autonomous Is Better
If automated is good, autonomous is better. Why? A look at the new Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud Service makes it clear.
A data warehouse is a powerful analytical platform. But it’s time consuming for IT to set up and manage while analysts wait (and wonder if they should have settled for a spreadsheet).

Automating database tasks makes the process more efficient for the DBA, but it doesn’t change the basic equation of analysts waiting for IT. With the autonomous data warehouse, on the other hand, analysts answer a few questions and “In 25 seconds they’ve got a high-performance data warehouse,” says Oracle product manager Keith Laker.

Read how the autonomous data warehouse operates without human intervention; tuning and optimizing itself for top performance and patching itself without taking the system offline – making it, and the DBA, more valuable.
