Updates in the 1H release aim to help you safely bring employees back to the office, including the free health and vaccination monitoring portlet in the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution. Employees can voluntarily share their vaccination status and organizations can use that data to help create reopening strategies, provide travel recommendations, and identify and support employees deemed high risk due to their location, age and area of work. Additionally, SAP Work Zone for HR has a new guided experience that provides personalized information and recommended actions employees need to take to return to the office. Learn More. |

After July 23, 2021, attachments stored in the Document Management System within a Test or Development instance will be replaced with blank attachments based on a defined retention period. Our next-generation skills framework, Center of Capabilities, fundamentally changes the way skills, competencies, and overall capabilities are captured. The first phase of this transition includes a universal migration of Competency Framework to Center of Capabilities and changes how administrators manage both Competencies and the Competency Library/Categories. Employee Central New Time Sheet User Interface (UI) Available Within First Half 2021 Release |
As part of the First Half 2021 release a new Employee Self-Service (ESS) Time Sheet User Interface (UI) for attendance recording was made available and will eventually replace the current UI. This new and innovative UI is part of UX Reimagined and supports accessibility standards and can be used on both desktop and mobile devices. Universal Compound Employee API Change Rescheduled to the Second Half 2021 |
Already applied to Preview instances, the three-month restriction of the “Last Modified On” and “Snapshot Date” fields within applicable instances’ Compound Employee API will be applied with the Second Half 2021 Release. Review resources and key considerations on the SAP SuccessFactors Community. |

Legacy Picklist Management End of Support Within Second Half 2021 Release |
With the Second Half 2021 (2H 2021) Release we will be ending support for the legacy Picklist Management process. After that time, any new features or enhancements will not be included in the legacy picklists. Also, following 2H 2021, as new features are released, possible issues may occur in the legacy picklists. We highly recommend any non-migrated instances be migrated as soon as possible. Legacy Admin Alerts Deprecation and Universal Transition to Admin Alerts 2.0 Within Second Half 2021 Release |
Within the Second Half 2021 Release, Legacy Admin Alerts will be deprecated as part of a universal transition to Admin Alerts 2.0. Admin Alerts 2.0 allows administrators to easily manage data integrity and surface certain processes which may be stalling.
