Context: about six months from go-live. I've read the docs but would love real-world experience.

We had the same issue. Turned out to be a config setting, not a bug.
Budget twice the time you think for data cleanup.
We ran parallel for two months. Painful but it caught a lot.
Agree with the above. Also check the user group forums, lots of good threads there.
