Maximizing fun

Oracle is “the brain in the engine room” behind a fun and safe customer experience, says Lee Cowie, CTO for Merlin Entertainments, which runs theme parks in 24 countries, including LEGOLAND, SEA LIFE Aquariums, and Madame Tussauds. The company relies on mobile data to deliver great experiences while maximizing staff effectiveness in a tight labor market.

Busting 4 multicloud myths

Naysayers still espouse ancient myths to argue that moving to multiple clouds is a bad idea. Those naysayers are just wrong, and businesses will use the services that best fit their needs, regardless of which providers run them. Oracle’s Leo Leung knocks down the four most popular myths.

Pushing back against hate

As Asian Americans are targeted by violent attacks, the Oracle Professional Asian Leadership’s (OPAL) Equity Committee provides resources for Asian staff and allies. “We want to offer a safe space for people to share messy feelings they might be experiencing as a result of the attacks, including fear, anxiety, and anger,” says Oracle’s Michelle Fong.

Broadening the workforce

Diversity is strategic for Oracle. “We’re applying our spirit of innovation and problem solving to this important imperative,” says Traci Wade, Oracle Diversity and Inclusion head. The work requires commitment across all levels of the company. In recognition, Oracle earned a spot in Forbes’ America’s Best Employers for Diversity 2022 list.
