Customer Community Single Sign On

Have you accessed the Customer Community since it transitioned to Single Sign On on December 12? Access now requires you to have an S-User ID. This allows you to search and transition across other SAP platforms (Support, for example) without signing in. Release Information Webinar in January
Our Release Information Webinars are shifting to support the change to our release cadence (see here for details on new release schedule). Since Q1 2017’s release will be foundational, we will only deliver one webinar in the first week of February which will cover major highlights of the Q1 release. HTTPS Required for Mobile Learning Content in iOS
With SAP SuccessFactors Mobile Learning, users can launch online courses or download courses to their devices for offline completion. New Apple iOS requirements will impact customers using SAP SuccessFactors Mobile Learning and transmitting data over the network. Customers using learning content in the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App must ensure that network calls happen over secure HTTP protocol (HTTPS) connections by January 1, 2017. Content servers must be upgraded to ensure compatibility for content to continue working properly. If you are an iContent customer, the server is already upgraded for you. If you are using a third party or internal content server, you should satisfy security requirements in KBA: 2394096.

Standalone LMS Environments
SAP SuccessFactors will no longer support standalone Learning – Learning environments not used in conjunction with the SuccessFactors platform – after the Q3 2018 release. This is an extension of 1 year from the originally planned date to give you additional time to integrate your LMS with the SuccessFactors platform.

Single sign on (SSO) into the LMS will also require the SuccessFactors platform as of the Q3 2018 release. However, we will allow native login into the LMS for customers with certain user populations that, today, log directly into the LMS with a LMS username and password.

An integrated environment offers Theming, Action Search, Mobile, and other features not available in a standalone Learning environment. Also, some future functionality and issue resolutions may depend on the Successfactors platform. We encourage you to start planning now for this transition!

Legacy Plateau Features
With the Q4 2016 release, we began removing unsupported legacy features from Learning, including major features, such as competency assessments, performance reviews, goals, talent pools, and individual development plans. Competency records remain as competencies are still supported. The database tables for the user history for these features was not removed from the Oracle database. You must import any system performance reports as custom reports in order to maintain access to those reports.

Flash Org Chart in Position Management
As of the Q2 2017 release, Flash Org chart will no longer be available in Position Management. Its replacement, v12, has been available since 2014. The main difference between versions is look and feel and HTML versus Flash. We encourage customers still using Flash to enable the v12 version now to become comfortable with it.
