Admin Alerts for Position Follow-Up Processes With the 1H 2023 release we introduced the Admin Alerts for Position Follow-Up Processes. An admin alert of this type is created in case there is an error when processing the position follow-up processes after one of the following actions when Centralized Services are enabled: terminating an employment on the MSS UI, saving changes to an internal hire using MPH, publishing compensation promotion data or adding a concurrent employment on the MSS UI. For example, when you terminate the employment of a manager and an error occurs during the automatic adaption of their former direct reports' manager, an admin alert is created for these errors. Additionally, an email is sent to the initiator of the action. Please make sure to monitor these admin alerts regularly, to ensure that potential errors are fixed in a timely manner. |

Starting June 1, 2023: Faster CAR Processing-Customer Approvals from Admin Center Required Over the last year SAP has made several improvements to the process for providing SAP and Partner consultants backend access to Customers’ tenants, including automating the process when customer approval emails are generated from the Admin Center. Effective June 1, 2023, customers must generate the approval from the Admin Center and send to the certified consultant who will be configuring your SAP SuccessFactors product. Impact of third party cookies deprecation on SAP SuccessFactors |
|
Google has announced their intention of phasing out the third-party cookies support in their Chrome browsers in the second half of 2024 (blog post here). The reason for the change is due to the concerns regarding privacy implications related to user data tracking. The SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite utilizes third-party cookies for single sign-on (SSO) authentication. This can be achieved through migrating to SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) when integrating with other internal products. Also, UI embedding within iFrames uses third-party cookies. Due to the deprecation of third-party cookies, there could be impact on the single sign-on and iFrame embedding functionalities. In November 2019, we launched a new version of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding (aka Onboarding 2.0) built on the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Platform frameworks within SAP SuccessFactors. This single platform approach offers our customers many benefits, both in efficiency and experience. SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding leverages the HXM suite. The newest version of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, focuses on integrating people, process, and technology to create modern engaging and efficient onboarding journeys that nurture talent and drive long-term success. SAP has determined we will begin the initial steps to sunset the SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 solution starting in the 2H 2025 release. At that time, the application will enter the End of Maintenance lifecycle phase. This also means 2026 compliance updates will not be made to the product through our typical patch process. However, the system will still be available for use. The deprecation of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 planned for the 1H 2026 release. Onboarding Compliance Updates |

There are two important compliance changes that will be applied to SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding and Onboarding 1.0 as part of our Patches in the 2H 2023 Release. A revised Form I-9 (edition date 08/01/23) will be published on sap.to/61101PnQa1 on August 1, 2023. Employers can use the current Form I-9 (edition date 10/21/19) through Oct. 31, 2023, but employers must use the new Form I-9 starting Nov. 1, 2023. In an effort to continuously improve our solutions, we are transitioning to the latest visual design, SAP Fiori with Horizon. This change will support an enhanced and consistent experience across the suite. Horizon theming is a purely visual change, with no impact on functionality or data. As of the First Half 2023, Horizon theming was automatically applied to all instances and as of Second Half 2023 release it will be universally applied. We have released patches in June and July that fixed many of the known key issues hindering customer adoption. We are pleased to inform you that the majority of the 1H 2023 release problems related to the features of Employee Central MSS UI Save of Job information, Compensation Information, Termination UI, and Internal Hire Save on Centralized Services have been successfully fixed and the features are now working as intended. Please refer to this KBA 3364594 for a list of issues that had a significant impact, along with their status, which will help you take an informed decision. As they will be made universal with 2H 2023 release, we encourage you to re-enable centralized services settings to benefit from enhanced features and share feedback. |
