SuccessConnect Highlights

At SuccessConnect Las Vegas, a new track was offered for administrators. The track, Empowerment and Support, engaged administrators and offered a chance to trade experiences.  Because of its huge success, we will offer this track again in November for EMEA admins, and at SuccessConnect 2017 events.

HR Excellence Awards

Following a record number of nominations for North America, awards were presented to winners in three categories, People Pioneer, All Heart and Better Business Results.  This year’s North American winners were:

  • People Pioneer Award  - Cascades
  • All Heart Award  - EnerSys
  • Better Business Results Award - Canada Post and Southwire Company (tie)

Peer Match Momentum
Our advisor base is rapidly growing!  Only a short time after the launch of the self-service Peer Match program, we have quickly grown our pool of advisors willing to discuss their areas of expertise.  Customers are already making connections through this exciting new tool.  If you are interested in becoming an Advisor, update your Peer Match profile information and indicate your willingness to share your experience in the identified product areas. New Product Idea Submission Tool
At SuccessConnect Las Vegas, we introduced an improved Idea Submission tool to help customers influence the SuccessFactors Roadmap. The tool, on the Customer Community, provides an enhanced user experience for both submission of enhancement ideas and the ability to vote for others' submissions. SAP SuccessFactors Process Library
The SAP SuccessFactors Process Library page has just launched with leading practice recommendations for the definition of HR processes and implementation. Process models are now available for Organizational Management, HR Administration (EC), Recruiting, Onboarding and Learning.

Value & Innovation in Practice Program

VIP and ASUG Roadshow
VIP is working with ASUG for an HR Roadshow where partners will demonstrate their expertise. These will take the place of or be combined with chapter meetings and will include content from SAP SuccessFactors as interest, time and space allows. Join the Recharge HR: Innovation Roadshow 2016 group, where participating partners, speakers, sponsors, SAP and ASUG staff can collaborate on content.

VIP at SuccessConnect
We had standing room only at almost all of the VIP Breakout sessions at SuccessConnect Las Vegas. We held 8 sessions and met with over 1200 customers! We are now looking forward to Vienna, Singapore and Sydney. Vienna's VIP track will include 7 VIP sessions, including customer stories on JAM, an Implementations Panel/Workshop with Cargotec and CCE, a Diversity Session, and more.  To register and learn more, click here.

UPCOMING RETIREMENTS

Cloud Learning Center
The Cloud Learning Center will remain open until September 30, 2016. We encourage all current CLC customers to begin using the SuccessFactors Administrator Learning Center as soon as possible. Beginning October 3, 2016, the Cloud Learning Center will be CLOSED and no longer available for use. To prevent disruption of learning, we urge customers to begin any new courses via the SuccessFactors Administrator Learning Center.

Customer Performance Metrics Portal
On September 30th, 2016, the Customer Performance Metrics portal will be discontinued. This standalone portal providing near real-time performance metrics for Page / Module / Transaction / Logins performance was a beta version. It is no longer supported since we have a general version in place – the Performance Metrics Portal (PMP). The PMP is available within the Product from Admin Center.

Legacy Plateau Features
With the Q4 2016 release, we will begin removing unsupported legacy features and modules from the SuccessFactors Learning product. This includes major features, such as competency assessments, performance reviews, goals, talent pools, and individual development plans. Competency records will remain in the system as competencies are still supported in Learning. The database tables for the user history for these features will not be removed from the Oracle database. You must import any system performance reports as custom reports in order to maintain access to those reports.

Flash Org Chart in Position Management
As of the Q1 2017 release, Flash Org chart will no longer be available in Position Management. Its replacement, v12, has been available since 2014. The main difference between versions is look and feel and HTML versus Flash. We encourage customers still using Flash to enable the v12 version now to become comfortable with it.

Standalone LMS Environments
With the Q3 2017 release, all Successfactors Learning customers will be required to run the LMS in an integrated environment with the Successfactors platform enabled. This change will only affect the small percentage of our customers who are not already using Successfactors Learning in an integrated environment.  If you have questions, please connect with your Customer Engagement Executive, who will explain the benefits of using Successfactors Learning in an integrated environment and help you formulate a plan for transition.

Current SuccessFactors Requirements
Support for Internet Explorer 9 and 10 was dropped with SAP SuccessFactors Q2 2016 release because Microsoft ended support for these browsers on January 12, 2016. Read more in the SuccessFactors System Requirements document.
