Simple SAPUI5 application with CRUD operations via ABAP CDS
In this blog post, SAP Consultant, Pierre Godart, introduces you to the creation of a simple SAPUI5 application that allows you to manage your data (modification of a simple DB table). This aims to help you avoiding wasting time doing technical plumbing but rather focus on the data model and the functional part of the project. Outstretching SAP BTP with AppGyver
AppGyver is a platform to create web and mobile apps for iOS and Android without coding and has been a part of the SAP family since March. ABAP Code Review Guide is out
Software Architect in SAP ABAP Platform, Christoph Pohl, would like to draw your attention to a new guide on ABAP Code Reviews which was added to the SAP Code Style Guides repository, in this blog post here. The guide discusses how to apply well-known code review flows as known from other programming languages also to ABAP.

  • New in SAP Tech Bytes: a number of videos related to mobile development have been recently added. The videos cover Serverless SAP Fiori Apps for the Kyma Runtime, converting existing SAP HANA Projects to the Cloud Application Programming Model, adding a Node.js module to an existing SAP HANA Project, AppGyver and more.

  • Onboard an MDK Client to Your OData Cache Database: Implement onboarding for an app based on SAP Mobile Services, mobile development kit (MDK) to your OData Cache Database based on SAP Mobile Services, mobile back-end tools (MBT). You will learn how to build an MDK sample app using a template in the SAP Business Application Studio and deploy it to Mobile Services and run it in a mobile client.

  • Activate Kanban Business Template: Activate the pre-delivered kanban template in your SAP Internet of Things tenant, which will create the Business Context, Business Context Hierarchy and Auto-ID Event Enrichment objects for you automatically. You will learn how to create an ODBC data source for a data lake IQ connection, and how to use the configured data source with other applications.

  • Develop a Vue Application for SAP BTP on Cloud Foundry: Create a simple Vue.js application, based on the Vuetify framework, and run it locally. You will learn how to create a Vue application for SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry environment, how to test run the app locally in the dev space and how to integrate the app in an SAP launchpad.
