Running two environments in parallel for now. Any lessons learned, tools or pitfalls to avoid?

We went through this last year. Start smaller than you think and expand once it's stable.
Test with real data, not just the happy path. That's where we found most issues.
Second this. We regretted skipping it.
Don't skip the cutover rehearsal. Do two if you can.
