Context: coming off a rough upgrade last year. I've read the docs but would love real-world experience.

Training was the difference for us. Short videos beat long manuals.
Make sure someone owns integrations after go-live. Ours went orphaned for a while.
Budget twice the time you think for data cleanup.
We went through this last year. Start smaller than you think and expand once it's stable.
